Automobili Lamborghini launches the new Huracán Sterrato in Hong Kong

The first all-terrain super sports car with V10 engine and all-wheel drive

Hong Kong, 14 July 2023 – The new Huracán Sterrato1 made its official debut in Hong Kong. As thefirst super sports car designed for asphalt and dirt surfaces, the new Huracán Sterrato reinterprets the very concept of sportiness and embodies the brand principles of ‘brave, authentic and unexpected’.

“I’m excited to introduce the new Huracán Sterrato to this dynamic market, where the customers are fond of the exclusivity and uniqueness of limited edition,” said Konstantin Sychev, Managing Director of Automobili Lamborghini Chinese mainland, Hong Kong & Macao, “With a limited production of just 1,499 units, Sterrato is designed to drive on loose surfaces, gravel and dust, which reinterprets the concept of what a super sports car can be. It belongs to the world’s most dynamic and thrilling driving environments.”

Sterrato exudes a wild, adventurous spirit with the new front bumper design featuring LED driving lights and top roof rack compared with Huracán EVO. The classic air intake located on the rear hood not only enhances the sporting spirit of the model, but also helps supply the engine with clean air when driving on dusty tracks. Its ground clearance has also been increased by 44 mm to handle rough roads, as has the front (+30 mm) and rear (+34 mm) track widths. The car also packs the aluminum front underbody protection, the reinforced sills, the rear diffuser and sturdy wheel arches, which combine to give a muscular and dynamic profile.

“Sterrato is testimony to how Lamborghini design DNA works perfectly, even with unexpected proportions,” said Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Automobili Lamborghini. “Sterrato’s design translates its super sports car heritage into a new lifeform, reflecting its specific intent to deliver a truly unique and dynamic driving experience”.

The interior features exclusive Alcantara Verde Sterrato upholstery, reflecting the “feel like a pilot” philosophy traditionally adopted for the Huracán line, in which the driver is at the center of the passenger compartment for the ultimate driving experience and absolute control of all the car’s features. The Human Machine Interface (HMI) also offers new graphics and special driving features and the instruments feature a digital inclinometer with pitch and roll indicator, compass, geographic coordinate indicator, and steering angle indicator.

Huracán Sterrato offers optimized driving dynamics for perfect control in all environments, from highways to dirt roads. The new car includes the latest version of the LDVI (Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics) system, with specific STRADA and SPORT calibrations, and bringing the new RALLY mode for low-grip conditions to the Huracán line for the first time.

“With the high-speed, all-terrain concept of Sterrato, we have combined the driving experience of a true super sports car with the fun of driving a rally car,” explained Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. “Lamborghini cars always deliver emotion: Sterrato delivers a new degree of driving thrills.”

Huracán Sterrato is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine with maximum power output of 610 CV and 560 Nm of torque (at 6,500 rpm), combined with 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive with rear mechanical self-locking differential. Offering optimum performance on unpaved and sandy surfaces, Sterrato accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (ca. 60 mph) in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h (ca. 160 mph).

The car is fitted with brakes with aluminum fixed monoblock calipers with six pistons (front) and four pistons (rear) and ventilated and cross-drilled carbon-ceramic discs with 380 mm diameter and 38 mm thickness at the front and 356 mm diameter and 32 mm thickness at the rear. Sterrato also comes with 19” rims and exclusive, custom-engineered Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tires that provide maximum versatility and adaptability for any condition and surface while contributing to car’s feeling, emotion and fun to drive of the car: tires measure 235/40 R19 at the front and 285/40 R19 at the rear, incorporating run-flat technology to guarantee a minimum 80 km range at the speed of 80 kph with zero pressure in case of puncture. These bespoke Bridgestone tires have been designed to perfectly complement the car’s DNA, whether through their innovative design or cutting-edge compound that provides a perfect grip either gravel or asphalt, all while maintaining excellent handling and high speed performance.

Among its on-board services, Lamborghini Connect includes integration with Amazon Alexa to adjust car features such as air conditioning and lighting, as well as control navigation, phone calls and entertainment with simple voice commands. The car can also be controlled remotely via the Lamborghini UNICA app with remote speed monitoring and the sending of a destination directly to the navigation system.

The Huracán Sterrato also comes with a connected telemetry system that allows the driver to monitor performance and analyze data via the UNICA app. Apple Watch users can also synchronize their heart rate information with the on-board telemetry system to measure their driving performance. The Lamborghini Drive Recorder is also available to record experiences at the wheel, allowing drivers to record video their most exciting driving moments, enhancing the “Board Diaries” feature – the digital memory book integrated into the Lamborghini UNICA app.

The new Huracán Sterrato offers almost unlimited possibilities for customization: benefiting from the Lamborghini Ad Personam program, customers can choose from 350 exterior colors and over 60 colors of leather and Alcantara interiors.
